Baby Feeding Myths

I always thought it was weird how much a baby's diet was restricted. It never made much sense to me. Think about it. Did prehistoric cave-mom give her kid rice cereal to ween him off breast milk? I doubt it. She probably gave him chewed up (i.e. softened) versions of what she was eating. Makes sense, right? So cave-babies were weened with chewed up fruits, vegetables and meats. And they grew up to be strong cave-men and cave-women, right? Otherwise, we wouldn't be here.

Now, over on CNN.com, there's an article that discusses this very thing. Very cool. Check it out.
