Dwindling Resources

It's good to know that scientists aren't just focused on potential oil shortages when thinking about the Earth's dwindling resources. This article from SciAm.com points up nicely how the world's population is outstripping it's support capabilities, at least at Western World levels of technology.

I guess we're going to have to go off-planet for resources. I wonder when the first asteroid will go into orbit around the Moon?
